How will I make a difference to your manuscript?
If you have not worked with a developmental editor before, you may be wondering what to expect. Chances are, if you are sending a file that has not previously been edited, then you will notice I make a large number of amendments.
I am extremely meticulous with my proofreading and editing services. When reviewing manuscripts, alongside standard spelling, grammar and syntax, I will also review essentials such as plot, structure, character construction and voice whilst also assessing point of view, location detail and description, timelines, chapter structure and sequencing. I will also check for cliches, generalisations and gap filling.
This helps ensure complete consistency across the entire manuscript, making it as compelling as possible for readers.
