A novel can be beautifully written and still resist its writer. The difficulty is often not effort, but perspective: seeing where the narrative is carrying its weight, where it is losing energy and which changes will make the greatest difference.
My role is to read the manuscript as a whole: structure, character, pacing, point of view, emotional logic and commercial positioning, then turn that analysis into practical, specific guidance. I will tell you what is already working, what may be holding the novel back and how to approach revision without losing what made the story yours.

I have worked professionally in editorial for more than sixteen years, with authors across commercial and literary fiction, crime, thrillers, women’s fiction, YA and middle grade.
My authors include traditionally published and independent writers, debut novelists and experienced professionals. Their work has attracted agents, won awards and secured significant publishing deals, but every project begins in the same place: with the manuscript itself.
